This new initiative is the result of a partnership between D&AD and Advertising Week. D&AD Awards are recognised globally as the ultimate in creative excellence whilst the D&AD Foundation inspires the next generation of creative talent and stimulates the creative industry to work towards a positive future
Advertising Week draws from brands, agencies, media, technology and startup companies, in addition to broader cultural communities to curate a hybrid of thought leadership and special events worldwide.
D&AD Impact seeks to identify and celebrate great, transformative, creative ideas that have had real impact and, ultimately, contribute towards a better, fairer and more sustainable future for all. See the 2016 Winners
Winning work will be rewarded a White Pencil, the premier accolade for creativity for good at the ceremony on September 26 2017. And for truly game-changing work, a coveted Black Pencil will be awarded. Runners-up will receive a Wood or Graphite Pencil, and invitations to the ceremony in NYC. All pencil winners will be included in D&AD case studies and Advertising Week Thought Leadership opportunities. The Jury's shortlisted work will also receive global press coverage. New for 2017, D&AD Impact will award ideas with the potential for impact across one or more of the 12 categories, that could benefit from the exposure, funding, mentoring and networking that D&AD Impact can offer.
Selected projects, products or initiatives that have an original innovative idea at the core, and that can demonstrate how, once scaled, will have a clear and measurable impact in the chosen category area, will be offered the opportunity to pitch for project support.
